Privacy Policy for Qote

Who we are
Qote is made by Storm Marketing IS, Denmark (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about privacy, write to steffen@stormmarketing.dk.
Your notes
Everything you put in Qote — titles, text, checklists, colours, reminders, pins, locks and the order you arrange your notes in — is stored on your device.
If you are signed in to iCloud, Qote also keeps a copy in the private database of your own iCloud account, so your notes appear on your other iPhone, iPad and Mac. That database belongs to your Apple Account and is handled by Apple under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. We have no access to it: we cannot read, copy or delete your notes. If iCloud is off, your notes stay on the device.
What Qote does not do
It does not ask you to create an account or sign in.
It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and no third-party software of any kind.
It does not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not sell, rent or share any information about you.
Qote only goes online through Apple’s iCloud, to sync your notes, and when you tap a link in a note, which opens in your browser or mail app.
Permissions
Notifications. Qote asks the first time you set a reminder. Reminders are scheduled by each of your devices itself; they are never sent through a server. The reminder for a locked note shows its title but not its contents.
Face ID, Touch ID and passcode. To open a locked note, Qote asks your device to confirm it is you. Qote only learns whether that succeeded. Your face, fingerprint and passcode never reach Qote.
Start at Login (Mac). Uses the Mac’s own login items setting. Preferences such as which screen edge the note rail sits on are stored on that Mac only.
Purchases
Qote is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we receive only aggregated sales figures, never your name or payment details.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you. You can turn this off at any time under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements in Settings (iPhone and iPad) or System Settings (Mac).
If you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you write, use them only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed or whenever you ask.
Deleting your data
Deleting a note in Qote is permanent, and the deletion syncs to your other devices. To remove everything Qote has stored in iCloud, open your iCloud storage settings, choose Qote and delete its data. Deleting the app removes the notes stored on that device.
Children
Qote is suitable for everyone and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because Qote collects no personal data, there is normally nothing for us to give you a copy of, correct or delete. For emails you have sent us, you can ask for a copy, a correction or deletion at any time. You also have the right to complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk).
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
